Judge Quaintance was appointed in 2000 to the Fourth Judicial District bench by then-Governor Jesse Ventura. She was elected in 2002 and again in 2008. Her current term expires in January 2015.
Before joining the bench, Judge Quaintance spent a career in private practice and public law as a Deputy Hennepin County Attorney. Judge Quaintance has a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School.
