Pam Costain is the chair of the Youth Coordinating Board. Prior to becoming a school board member in 2007, she taught adult literacy and English as a second language for more than 10 years in both Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Schools. Later in her career, Costain helped found Save Our Schools/Parents United Network where she served as director. Costain holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Carleton College and a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
