Lentz has held leadership positions at the Minnesota Department of Health and the Girl Scout Council of Greater Minneapolis. Earlier in her career, she was an announcer and news reporter.
Lentz received her master's degree from the College of St. Catherine, her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and a degree in broadcast and marketing from Brown College.
