How Students Can Help

Students and caring adults are needed

If you left school without graduating or if you know someone who has had difficulty finishing high school...there are:

  • New choices to help you finish high school
  • New paths to graduation that fit your needs and schedule

Re-enrolling is simple! Please contact Mary Barrie with Minneapolis Public
Schools mary.barrie@mpls.k12.mn.us or 612-668-0721.

You might know a young person who is not attending school - a neighbor, friend or relative. Many young people in Minneapolis middle and high schools have difficulty finishing the school year.

We Want You Back

We’re helping now -- and all year!

  • People across Minneapolis want to see all our young people graduate.
  • We’ll find the right “fit” of school and services and help students back on a path to graduation.
  • Community-based support at several locations – including Little Earth of United Tribes, Youth Opportunity Center at YouthLink,  and Brian Coyle Community Center.

How you can help:

  • If you know a young person who is not attending school this year, contact us and we will offer to set up a home visit with information about schools, programs and services.

Volunteer for We Want You Back!
Volunteers are needed for this important effort - connecting students to resources, support and information to help them graduate. Volunteers are also needed for organizing events that interest and mobilize students and their supporters in the wider community.
