The Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board

Marion serves as Hennepin County Commissioner representing the 3rd District, which includes all of St. Louis Park and southwest Minneapolis, and most of downtown Minneapolis. She is also the current chair of the Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board.

A former State Representative, Marion Greene was chief author of legislation to fully fund all-day kindergarten in Minnesota, was selected to be part of the MN Leadership Institute on Child Development Research and Policy, and led a group of legislators and community early childhood advocates in elevating youth-oriented priorities at the legislature. Marion brings the same passion for children and their families to her appointment to the Youth Coordinating Board and as Chair of Hennepin County’s Health and Human Services committee.

Marion grew up in India, Morocco, Brazil and Pakistan. That international upbringing indelibly shaped her dedication to community and diversity. Marion has a BA from Swarthmore College, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
