Downtown Minneapolis’ Central Library is the location for the Teen Job & Opportunity Fair — an annual event bringing together 500 youth from seven Minneapolis high schools and youth-serving programs from around the city to learn about opportunities with 40 or more local employers. Job applications, internships, workshops and a “dress-for-success” Teen Fashion Show highlight the day. Hennepin County librarians staff computer stations to help young people identify resources to continue their job search in the future.
COVID-19 Announcement — 2020 Teen Job & Opportunity Fair Postponed!
After careful consideration, the planning team has chosen to postpone the 2020 Teen Job & Opportunity Fair. The original event was scheduled for April 18th. With the situation being unpredictable & fluid we do not have a solid timeline on when planning will pick back up and new event announced. We are tentatively planning on coming back together towards the end of April and hoping to have good news sometime in May. The 2020 Teen Job & Opportunity Fair might not look the same as previous years, but we absolutely want to provide something positive for the community when we are able.
Until then, please take care of yourself & those around you!
