The Minneapolis Youth Coordinating Board

I am a woman with big dreams to influence, lead and build an amazing world for all of us to thrive in starting with my leadership in the parks! I have the unique pleasure of building community daily through my work as an Executive Director for a local nonprofit and I desire to do more of it in my role as an At Large Park Commissioner. I am a proud Edison High School graduate (go Tommie’s). I attended Hamline University for my Undergraduate studies and Augsburg for my Graduate studies. I serve on several volunteer boards and provide food along with other resources to the unhoused in my free time. I love playing basketball, softball and many other sports.

I have the honor of being the Mother of two Amazing boys. My sons are intelligent, fun, imaginative, kind-hearted and cool. We live in South Minneapolis; however, I was raised in North Minneapolis. Like many of you reading this, my family and I frequent the parks daily. My sons are participants in various sports through the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Programs. I have coached multiple youth sports teams in both North and South Minneapolis. When I am not working, I can be found hanging out with my family at the park chasing after them while they ride their bikes, swim at the pool or do cool tricks on their hoverboards. Lastly, my favorite season is summer; you can find me enjoying all the rays the sun has to offer while traversing around the city.
